MUNICIPAL SEPARATE STORM SEWER SYSTEM (MS4) PERMIT
INSPECTION GUIDELINES FOR INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL FACILITIES

Industrial and commercial businesses produce pollutants such as oils, trash, metals, and chemicals that can enter a storm drain system and, if left untreated, flow to our local waterways and the ocean, posing health risks and environmental hazards.

The Regional MS4 Permit regulates stormwater discharges from MS4s and requires storm- water and non-stormwater compliance inspections of local businesses as part of MS4 Permit compliance every two years to ensure facilities are not causing or contributing to reductions in water quality.

For more information, please contact the Department of Public Works Stormwater Administrator at 626-744-3929 or SWAdministrator@cityofpasadena.net.
