This 10-block district stretches from Colorado Blvd. and winds through Pasadena’s Shoppers lane before concluding at California Blvd.
What You’ll Find: A thriving business community, South Lake is a tree-lined avenue that seamlessly pairs European class and American tradition. Little touches such as antique red phone booths and patio cafés add to the unique ambience. Pasadena’s first English teahouse, Rose Tea Cottage, is here along with Pie N Burger, a tasty local institution since 1963.
Why You’ll Love It: The area’s rich shopping roots date back to the 1940’s when Bullock’s, a department store that was built to resemble a luxury cruise ship and is now a Macy’s, set the standard that transformed South lake into a chic, cosmopolitan shopping destination.
Today, scores of stores and restaurants make this one of Pasadena’s most enticing districts. Talbot’s and Borders complement stores such as Anthropologie, Rangoni Firenze Shoes and Orvis.
