South Lake Rate Increase Notice

The South Lake Parking Place Commission (SLPPC) is responsible for operating, managing, and controlling the parking places within the district, which includes recommending parking rates for on-street parking meters and the City-controlled Shopper’s Lane parking lots in the South Lake Parking District.  In March of 2023, the commission voted to recommend a rate increase to both the on-street parking meters and in Shopper’s Lane.

Current Rates Proposed Rates
  • 90 minutes free
  • $2 per hour thereafter
  • $6 daily maximum
  • 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

 

  • No free period
  • $2 per hour
  • 1 hour minimum
  • $12 daily maximum
  • 24 hour paid parking

South Lake Parking Meters

Current Rates Proposed Rates
  • $1 per hour
  • 1 hour maximum
  • 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Saturday
  • $3 per hour
  • 1 hour minimum
  • 2 hour maximum
  • 9:00 a.m. – Midnight, 7 days a week

Increased revenues from these rate increases would be used to cover increasing operating costs and to continue to be used for South Lake area improvements and area beautification.
